Six tries to two was probably a fair reflection of the difference between the two sides as Sedgley Tigers brought a follow on storm to Hare Lane after the efforts of Storm Arwen the night previously.
Easily the best side to visit this season was the general opinion on the ref's final whistle.
Chester opened the scoring after 5 minutes when vice-captain Harrison Vare (pictured) dotted down with Liam Reeve adding the conversion. Sedgley then took control of the game and added three first half tries, all converted by experienced fly-half Steve Collins who effectively conducted a finely tuned orchestra throughout the 80 minutes. His control of the game was significant and ensured that the visitors maximised their superiority.
Second half pressure brought two further scores and a yellow card for home flanker George Baxter before the vocal home crowd were cheered by Vare's second score on 74 minutes. Sedgley closed the game out with a score from front row Ben Black. Steve Collins landed his 6th conversion and his team were able to return to north Manchester satisfied with a good afternoon's work.
Next week Chester travel to Bourneville RFC
