Despite working extremely hard to eke out a half-time lead, yellow cards in the final quarter prove very costly as the visitors physicality comes to the fore. Chester managed 4 tries, 2 from skipper Harry Craven, 1 each for Morgan Bagshaw and Dom Cleverley all converted by Sam Rogers.
The last one of the quartet brought Chester to within one point on 58 minutes and well in the game.
With Chester reduced, at one point to 13, Lucs ran in four scores in 14 minutes to give the scoreboard an unhealthy look at full time.
With both Uni sides recording wins, the challenge mounts for the guys to get something out of the remaining fixtures. A big challenge awaits next week as we travel to Hinckley who have only lost one game in 2026.
