It has been a busy and positive pre-season at the Club, with new coaches joining the senior set-up and several exciting player signings strengthening the squad ahead of the 2026/27 campaign.
First and foremost, I would like to welcome Lewis Barker to the coaching team. Lewis has already brought a real sense of purpose and structure to our defence, and the pre-season games have shown the impact he is having. The lads have really bought into his defensive style, which has been great to see. Also, a big thank you to Sam Thompson, our Head Physio, and Iwan Thompson for running the S&C programme.
We have retained well going into the new season and have added real quality and depth across the team. Rhys and Gav have also continued to demand high standards from the players, which is helping to drive the whole group forward. If we play as we know we can, it should be an exciting season for everyone involved.
There is a good feeling around the club, both on and off the pitch. Our volunteers have done a sterling job making sure we are good to go. All we need now is for our supporters to get right behind the team. Let’s make the first game of the season against Wharfedale one to remember. Your support is always appreciated, and I know the lads hear you from pitch side.
