What a fantastic season it's been for Chester Rugby Club! On the pitch, the highlights were undoubtedly our trips to Cornwall – 660-mile round trips that involved overnight stays in Taunton, and lively celebrations on the coach journeys back.

Despite the long travel distances (over 4,000 miles!) and encounters with unfamiliar teams, the team spirit remained high. We secured victories against the top three sides in the league and achieved impressive away wins at Hinckley and Hornets. While a higher league position might have been within reach, the overall performance deserves immense credit.

The dedication of both players and coaches has been truly remarkable. This commitment extends across the entire club:\
The Devas and 2nd XV secured impressive second-place finishes in their respective leagues.
The 3rd XV consolidated their league position with strong performances against other clubs' second teams.
Our U16 girls emerged victorious in the Northern Division National Cup, and the Senior Colts narrowly missed out on National Cup glory by losing to Newport in the semi-finals.

Beyond the matches, the club has thrived with a vibrant atmosphere on Saturdays and Sundays. The well-organised lunches have proven to be a huge success, and our legendary hospitality towards visiting teams and officials continues to set us apart. From the gate staff to the bar and catering teams, everyone contributes to the warm welcome that enhances Chester RUFC's reputation. In fact, presidents and chairmen from clubs we've played for the first time are eager for us to stay in the league for a repeat visit!

Finally, a heartfelt thank you to everyone who has supported me this season. Special thanks to Joe, Mike, and Steve for stepping up in my absence, and to the Chairman for keeping everyone well-fed and hydrated. Your support means a great deal.
