A fantastic season for the Devas!
At the beginning of pre-season last July, the coaching team set out with three goals for the Devas: a strong finish in the league, a cup run, and integrating younger players into the squad.

We're thrilled to report that we achieved all three goals!
League Success
The Devas secured an impressive second place finish in the league! Even though our final game is against Broughton Park, they would need a significant win to take us out of the second spot. This is a fantastic accomplishment for the team!
A Cup Run to Remember
While our cup run didn't start exactly as planned, with a tough loss against Lichfield in the first round, the Devas bounced back in a big way! We secured wins against Crewe & Nantwich, Doncaster Demons, and Bridgnorth, taking us all the way to the semi-finals!
The semi-final against Horden & Peterlee was a close one, but unfortunately they came out on top. Despite the loss, the Devas played an incredible game, showing true grit and determination. This deep run in the cup competition was a major achievement for the team!
Developing the Next Generation
One of the season's biggest highlights has been the introduction and success of our younger players.

  • Ella Wylie, in just her second full season, has become the team's top try scorer with an impressive 15 tries!
  • Darcy Jenkins, joining the team at 17, has quickly become a key player.
  • Mia Wylie and Mari Jones, both 17 years old, have also stepped up and impressed with their fearless performances. We are excited to see even more from them in the future!

A Huge Thank You to Our Seniors
The achievements of our team wouldn't be possible without the invaluable experience and leadership of our senior players.

  • Sophie Montgomery has excelled in her first season as captain.
  • Laura Gove has been a fantastic vice-captain.
  • Sioned Williams continues to dominate the pitch, regularly winning opposition player of the match.
  • Mari (Maz) Walker, our longest-serving player, took on the goal kicking duties in the second half of the season and finished with an impressive 34 points. We are incredibly grateful for the dedication and leadership of our senior squad.

Looking Ahead
We are immensely proud of everything the Devas have accomplished this season. We achieved two out of our three goals and overall, the team has grown significantly. We are excited to see what next season holds for this talented group!
A huge thank you to everyone who has supported the Devas this season! We look forward to your continued support next year!
